A Family Of Knowledge

The idea for High Ground Tree Farm began in the fall of 1967 when Dave Black began working in the Christmas tree industry for another grower. Dave fell in love with Christmas tree production and began planting trees on his own land. Dave and his wife Jan worked weekends and nights to make the farm a success. Dave still works every day on the farm with no plans of retirement. In 2000 Dave’s son David Black II joined the farm full time and today assumes many of the day to day operations of the farm. Having worked on the farm since he was a little boy has given him a wealth of knowledge growing Christmas trees. David’s wife Brenda and his three children help out whenever they can. Dave’s daughter and her husband make high quality wreaths and garland. High Ground tree farm has always been a family business and we love working hard to grow quality Christmas trees. As David’s children grow up he has high hopes that they will want to carry on the family tradition of hard work and dedication to quality.
