Summer on a tree farm is hard, hot work. Just ask anyone on our crew! We have two separate crews working non-stop for most of the summer - shearing (shaping the trees with long, sharp knives), hand pruning and clipping all sizes of every tree on our farm. We also mow the weeds between the rows of all our trees multiple times during the course of the summer.
Once or twice during the summer season our crew will strap on backpacks filled with granular fertilizer that we spread on a trees root system to help promote healthy, green trees.
It takes a lot of hands-on effort and care to grow good trees.
